Both are great boots. I can only speak firsthand about the Booters, but my cousin has SPKs and he loves them.
I know that they are both good boots, and the Booters have not disappointed me at all. They are light, perform well, and have held up great! No need for new heel piece after 1 season (about 45 days).
I guess it comes down to which you like better and price.
(Assuming they both fit your feet well)
Although, I don't know how they can both fit your feet well because the booters are 102 wide, and the SPKs are 104.
I've been using SPK's for 3 years now and I can say only the best about them. In my opinion, their build quality is mush higher if we compare them to full tilts... yes they are heavier, but in that case, just go to gym and train your legs a bit and You'll never notice their weight. On the other hand, if full tilts would fit me (can't even buckle them properly) maybe I would change my thoughts.
well my feet are messed up. dont know what to tell you man they both fit. I know what a fitted boot is supposed to feel like and It may have just been that the FTs were worn longer and that made the liner pack out more, but it was still a reasonable amount of time in each boot
this. if you fit in both the same, get the booter. a narrower last will provide a tighter fit, and thus the boot will be more responsve and fit better.
also i have booters (just ordered new high fives though) and i love them. light, comfortable (they fit me well and i have had footbeds, etc), and perfect flex and feel (i upgraded to a 6, 4 was too soft for me)
I have wide ass feet too haha the booters are honostly amazing! I love the versatility you have by changing out the tongues and I've never gotten shin bang plus the toe has a nice big cushion to reduce toe bang as well! I have a friend with the spk's and I've true them a times and I feel like the squish your heel making them kind of uncomfy! Def go with the FT's
I recommend Fulltilts. I've had SPK's for quite a while now and at first they felt ok. But now I just hate them sometimes. Even pressure around your feet is no option in SPK's. There is just two buckles (i now they are very wide n shit) so the pressure is just in two points and that sucks. Soon I'm buying my friends old fulltilt's and they felt really good.
Nobody is trashing Salomon, although their skis are dildos, everyone likes their boots and bindings, however, in this case the kid wants SPKs even though he clearly has a narrow foot because he can fit into FT's, so everybody is warning him against it.
Well the liner in spks is alot wider in the toe box, I've actually been able to ride both spks and FTs (conflicts), and while I dig alot of things about the fts, the spjs were comfier boots. And everyone knows the suspect blows
