well where I was the trees themselves were burnt and fucking solid. The pain of swinging an axe into a burnt tree and having it just stop is such a shitty thing. but once I saw how eroded the ground was I tried just pushing it over roots and all and as soon as I realized how easy it was I just went to town. I made like a 100' pad in an hour just pushing over trees. Because they were burnt they were also super light so I was literally throwing like 20'+ trees and dragging the biggest ones without a problem.
I think I looked like a coal miner when I got on the helicopter.
sometimes I find dead trees like these and climb them. you have to be very careful or else the tree will fall. then once you get to the top, you like dig yourself into the tree trunk until you are completely hidden, or nobody can see you from the ground at least. Then I just wait there, looking up at the sky, imagining life as a tree. After two days with no water you really start to see things, I've visited baphomet and met forest nymphs almost every time i do it. Great way to get closer to nature.
