So i sprained my knee, and my doctor said with therapy and a brace, i can ski in about a week. Problem is with my insurance its 150 per therapy session, and id have to do at least six. Any body ever tore their acl/ meniscus, know of good therapy choices? Ive got a comp on march 30th so id like to be able to compete in it. Please post what you did for therapy.
if you tore your ACL you won't be skiing at least until next season. and you can't heal a torn ACL with just therapy, you have to get surgery. if you tore ACL/Meniscus, you won't be skiing in a week.
He said he sprained his knee. And "therapy" as in physical therapy, as in the thing literally every serious athlete goes through after any kind of serious injury. Even if he had torn his ACL a lot of doctors have patients do therapy before and after surgery to get the area a little stronger and better stabilized before going in and fixing it. Not sure why you are so skeptical about it.
I would, but other places are to far away, and the chick is actually a good PT coach? I dunno, i just wanted to know if anybody knew of any ways for therapy, ive got a really good brace, expecially for this injury, i just need to rebuild the strength. It isnt even a very serious sprain.
