Careers in Conservation, Alternative Energy, Sustainability, and the Like

What aspect of those industries are you interested in? (Business, Engineering, etc.?) My college roommate just started his master's degree in sustainable engineering, and honestly, he's probably going to be set once he gets that degree. Every industry around is trying to become more sustainable for both social responsibility and government stipends, and especially once the baby boom generation begins to retire, there will be a major demand for young individuals with an extreme knowledge of sustainable/green practices.

My opinion: Definitely pursue a major/career in one of those fields if its in an industry/job function that you enjoy.

i'll be studying ecology nest year. i'm hoping to someday work for a state fish and game department as a biologist or something

My hopes are to make it on the engineering side of things but honestly I think I'd be happy doing aspect of it as long as its important to me and something I can believe in that needs to be done.
