why the hate on simcity? It's a very popular franchise that I've been playing since before most of you were probably even born. They're fun to play when you have nothing else to do.


I was given the new one, and despite all the low ratings, of the 6 people I know who own/play it, not a single one of us has had any problems whatsoever. No problems creating accounts/logging in or installing the game, and no server problems.

from what I've heard the new one sucks because EA can't get there shit together and give up on a fully online game that should be offline


other ones are fun though, I used to tear the shit out of the pre-built cities with volcanoes.

I'm still considering it. I heard you don't get very much land to build your city on, which is very disappointing along with server issues. I really hope Roller Coaster tycoon 4 will turn out better than the new sim city.

sim city 2000 was awesome. but now apparently you can't play the new sim city without being connected to the internet. which is complete bs. that's why it's getting terrible reviews no doubt. who would want to spend money on a game you can't even play half the time?

EA shit the bed for sure on this. Sc4 left me hanging, I have too many mods and the game fucking lags like shit now, even on my new laptop that's 5 years newer than the game. The potential was destroyed by the server issue, even worse than diablo 3... For shame Will Wright.

Anyone ever have ski resort tycoon? Now that was my shit like 10 years ago. I would play for house, basically why all through hs I was laughed at by guidance counclers for wanted to study ski resort managent. Look at amazon the new sims is one of the lowest rated games of all times, actually one of their lowest rarest products of all times. Outside of n64 and nes I don't own any games, all I play is kart, and I was actually thinking about buying this game, glad I didnt

I remember even as a 7 or 8 year old I thought that game looked stupid. but I always hated games like that except for roller coaster tycoon.
