obviously there were tricks artard, but there were a ton of straight slides and straight airs to tranny, many of which were on trickable features and I know they are trickable because they copy 4bi9 by hitting the same rails except for the 4bi9 kids did tricks on a lot of them. and specifically back 4s on close outs are starting to get paaallaaaayyyyeeeeddddddd as dope as b4's are. pussies

please stfu.  You dont need to do 5 switch ups to make an urban shot worthy of being used. For the record that 4 out of closeout was one of the biggest and steeziest i have seen. The rest of the urban was very fun ot watch as well.

if the goal is to impress and entertain, which it is, then doing shit no one has seen before reigns supreme which is why the best in the sport continue to try to do shit thats never been done. b4s on decent size closeouts have been done and done again. yes fun to watch kind of. makes me think their edit is better than waffle house's... no. pussies

id say most of this website would consider stept to be "the best in the sport" when it comes to urban. And honestly all of there features are more or less the same. Like 90 % of there movie is trannys. Still they "reign supreme", so your theory is a bit flawed. The idea is to entertain, the mixtape/core crew vibe that hood crew had really did that. Also the way they filmed and the locations etccc of there urban gave them an impressive feel.

I'm glad you brought this up because I think a lot of the stept shit isn't that technically impressive. Rails that take actual balance and have tricks that would be impressive in the park done on them are impressive to me. sliding 7 feet of  a close out rail then dropping a huge drop is impressive, but only physically impressive, the skiing in that kind of shit doesn't impress me at all. a lot of the gaps they do are like high speed 20 foot tables but just look sick because its in an urban setting. WAYYY over hyped, i laugh when kids like you say they are the best in the game when NONE of them could do more than 2 tricks in Will Wesson's segment. if you have strong legs and are half decent at skiing you can tap a rail and drop 20 feet. You have to be a fucking rail wizard to do multiple switch ups on a kink rail. Do you know how hard a switch tails 2 onto an urban rail is? how many of the kids in stept had one of those in their segment last year? I guess i just am impressed by urban that takes skill, rails that were hiked 100 times to get one trick, not a fucking gap or drop that takes under 10 tries. so my theory isn't flawed at all, you just assumed that I think that that shit is cool. and i do think some of the skiing stept does is tight for what it is

but to hit stuff that stept does (such as a huge fucking close out with a death drop on the other side) it most definitely takes more consistency and to me its almost more impressive because you really can't screw up, which makes it 1000 more exciting to watch. i would hardly call it tapping the rail.

Not saying your opinion is wrong I just think the way you are stating certain things is very wrong. But a good mix of the two is always nice.

The best segments have this. That's why Tom's shit is so damn sick because he can hang with stept hitting big stuff and hang with Wesson hitting tech stuff. but when riders get specialized I'd rather see hard shit than gnar shit personally.

You honestly think that after watching the edits that blatt posted, and seeing the stuff hood crew has come out with lately, that they arent capable of producing this diversity?

I guess agree to disagree because leigh's skiing is definitely tight but just once again not the kind of shit that seems difficult and tight to me, very similar to stepts i think.

And I definitely agree that hood crew's edit is WAY tighter than the other two edits still in the running, but i was blown away that montage and waffle house edits didn't make which prompted me to basically talk shit. I would way rather see hood crew go then a bunch of stock dub 10s

Half of the kids saying that blind 4's on closeouts are played blah blah blah, go setup an urban rail, let alone a closeout and then tell me it's played and not that hard. Urban is NOTHING like the park, I didn't even realize that until I started shooting urban with my friends.

compared to a 3 swup on an urban rail, or 4 on, or a double switch on on a dub kink. YES it is infinitely easier. I've done blind 4's out of urban rails, those other tricks have hardly been done. I get the impression you're unable to read and comprehend my posts

technically sure, but in terms of fear, a cam riley close out or gap is absolute insanity. Cam Riley doesn't hit massive gaps over and over again, because if you screw up you get really badly hurt. It's a make or break thing, not a "i'll just hit it again" thing

heres the thing. you can't just my wording and say couldn't compete. I said there is nothing that sets them out from the rest. I really do not enjoy their skiing and I think MGA is killing it. Sure they could all compete there however I do not think hoodcrew has anything jaw dropping or super st3333z3y.

Just b/c it isn't technical doesn't mean it is easy. I'm not trying to take away from Will's skiing here, don't get me wrong I LOVE his segments and they are truly incredible, but to say that tech tricks are better than hitting gnar death rails is a completely subjective statement.

Lets be honest, the jump isn't going to be very big if it's anything like the old whistler setup.

Orage Masters is about pro skiers getting hammered and throwing hilarious tricks in spring slush. Therefore, Hood Crew/Trevor are perfect.

I just want to see Meeks ride his one lifes there
