Does anyone know if there is a product out there for clamping paddles to the canoe during portages? I just thought of how simple and convenient it would be to have a little plastic clamp that attaches to the gunwale and then has a C shaped tube part that the paddle shaft clips into.
i looked around online but didnt find anything really like it, so im thinking about drafting and milling one at school (i have access to a wicked machine shop and computer labs) or if i dont do that just jimmy-rigging something in the garage when im home from school this summer.
anyways, just a thought. i dont know how many people check this forum but its worth a shot.
