2013 Volkl Step vs. 2013 Nordica Badmind

I'm deciding between these two skis for next year, I ski 60% rails 20% jumps and 20% groomers, and I live in Ohio so no pow or big mountain stuff. I'm looking for a ski that will be poppy and I'm looking to progress a lot on it. Also durability is definitely a selling point for me, I need my skis to last! Lastly, are both these skis sintered base? Thanks, +k for good answers.

I don't own neither have i skied on either the Dead Money (OMW for the 13-14 season), or the Step, but I think I can help you out a bit. The Dead Money is stiffer than the Step and has no rocker or minimal rocker, I'm not sure, and the step has some rocker. The Step is symmetrical and the Dead Money is not, so the step will ski better switch. The Step is more suited towards rails due to it's softer flex and slight rocker, although it is still quite good for jumps, and the Dead Money is better for jumps due to it's slightly wider platform, camber, and stiffer flex, even though it will treat you just fine on the rails. They both have sintered bases I believe, hope I was useful.
