Getting a Canon t4i. Need a cheap stabilizer. +k for help

People keep telling me to get the Glidecam but I need something that's $50 or less. I heard about the Opteka X Grip. Are those any good? Or does anyone know any others?

I used an x grip with my 7D. It is next to useless with a dslr. DSLR's are too heavy and unbalanced to be used effectively. Th xgrip works better with camcorders with built in IS. My advice would be to build a fig rig. I built one for less than $25. Works better than a xgrip.

I use the Opteka X-grip ex mk 2. It's the previously mentioned one, but aluminum and geared more toward DSLRs. They also have the MK 3 that's steel and heavier. Never used it though.

Another super cheap stabilizer (one that I actually bought because it was SO cheap..) is this one from Cowboy Cinema.



Works pretty well for a smaller DSLR video setup. Not really good for if you're thinking about followcam shit, but I use it for run/gun handheld stuff. It's also cheap as ball and light as fuck, so for travel it ain't bad at all. Much lighter than my heavier rig.
