Im going to college at Montana State in Bozeman next year. I understand Big Sky is pretty close and has a solid rail set up but where should I get a pass for the best park jumps around Bozeman? help appreciated
Great Divide in Marysville, 20 miles out from Helena, had a nice slopestyle course style set up in one of their parks. I didn't get to ski it myself though, I was testing my foot to see if it would up. It looked sick though.
Great Divide doesn't get shit for snow and the jumps kind of suck until around mid February. But the jumps can be very fun past mid February until the end of the season. And the jumps at Big Sky always seem to be too hard to clear or too easy to overshoot.
moonlight basin in the spring has a great park set up. or they used too, haven't been there yet. but its right next to big sky ( connected actually ) and they used to set up some good sized features this time of year, but that was also usually a week or two before the annual tsp shoot witch is not going down , so id def check it out from a local.
Yeah, I've only been to GD for late season stuff, so I haven't seen the snow at its worst. I mainly just lap the park when I'm there because of how bad it is on some of the runs.
I got into Montana state too but don't think I'll be going unless someone convinces me. big sky looks dope, from what I saw they had a couple decent jumps
i also got into montana state and would like to know the answer to this question. does anyone know how the park usually is at bridger bowl? shits like 23 minutes from campus
...yeah im pretty sold. i cant wait for collage. side note : did the city of Bozeman really outlaw mmj dispensaries? if so is it somewhat easy to find affordable trees there otherwise?
its not hard and prices havent changed but the med law in ALL of montana changed so theres no dspensaries...but don't get caught, im caught up in all kinds of probation bullshit for having literally a dub sack
prices suck. depends if your from east coast or west coast. if your looking to ski park id recommend not coming to bozeman. Its all about the backcountry here and even still we havent had the greatest snow year. i came to bozeman expecting alot more out of it, kinda disappointed. but im having a great time out here.
Lol prices suck you know the wrong people, and our snows been pretty killer this year you obviously just don't know how to get out and after it. As far as park jumps go don't come here if thats what you want. bigskys jumps suck moonlights jumps suck and Bridgers are non existent. That being said doesn't mean you cant go have fun on them.
im from Boulder Co and ten a gram sounds about right. as far as park jumps go...i like to pop a backie ,a few cork 3 mutes and the occasional 7 after a day of hitting the usual steeps. this place sounds pretty good to me. stoked
it is hands down one of the most beautiful roads i've ever driven. I am on that thing almost daily and it still takes my breath away every time. Gallatin canyon is incredible
prices suck if your from the west coast and you pay 150 a zip. ive got a bigsky pass and ive been going every day i can. yes the snow has been good but not a whole lot of it... theres better places to go honestly.
It's a fun park, definitely not big in terms of 35+ jumps, but there is about 15 good rail features and a few jumps/tranny features. If your goal is to ski park, don't get a pass to Bridger. Big Sky and Moonlight will be your best bet. That's not to say that you shouldn't come to Bridger a few times per season, however. I would still highly consider moving to Bozeman.
yeah unless i die in Zimbabwe over the next 7 months, Bozeman is my new home come october. im actually really fucking pumped, it sounds like an awesome town for someone who likes skiing, seclusion, beer, and hunting haha
