I dont hate racers... ihate the kids in teh park with twintips who cant do shit. they just stand there and cut you off. some racers are actully decent park riders too. so why hate them?

i raced in hs...i think i looked funny too cause i didnt have the tight jackets or pants. Im pretty sure I got laughed at a lot...it was awesome!

I used to race. Racing is what makes a skier really comfortable going fast and such.
Racing is what makes a skier good. Jon Olsson, Jeremy Nobis, and all the Legends raced.

jon olsson still races(at least i know he did a year of two ago),a nd he got good results. i give them respect, becasue just like jibing ro thrownign tricks, it takes skill to do. i couldnt stand it because i hate ice witha passion.

I'm racing this year. I did nothing but park and bumps last year so I'm mixing it up this season.

I've actually had worse experiences with some of the little park kids then racers. Some of them are just plain dumb. Like camp out with your buddies on the backside of a 50 ft table dumb.

do any of you ever watch racing? ever watch a race called kitzbuehel? the most insane downhill ever, i bet that every single person including my self (ive raced NorAm downhills) would shit themselves standing at the top of that. It is the most intese thing ever.

i dont hate sum of em, but they are evan more cocky than us, an i can ski everything, not just the park, i ski the mountain more than the park, and alot of racers hate powder and cant ski it, and they cant ski the park(well, alot of them cant)

well the thing is if your really good at skiing you should be able to race, i did and we got to the south islands and it was sooo funny all of these guys in fucking lycra and i was wearing my ultra baggy pants, of course i got my ass handed to me, but getting time off school and getting to go skiing is all that counts right?

all of you who hate races... get over it.......i race on 2 alpine teams and still have time to free ski and i love my twins, by the way, my NB Alpine racing jacket is baggier than most of your oakley jackets, and my karbon pants are not in the least bit tapered at the feet, this is my practice uniform for RACING, racing provides you with a ton of balance and control on how you're skiing, i think it BENIFITS my freestyle, racers dont suck, its still skiing

I hate parent's who take there little fucking bastard kids through the terrainpark and get in the way, Fri some little kid was chilling in blind landing of a flat up flat box and i hit it with speed hoping to clear the flat but instead of a hard landing its was the best cushiest landing of all time, that fucking kid took the force of me in the chest and didnt get hurt and her mom was like 10 feet away and watched it happen. It was the softest landing of my life!
I did wait its not like i charged it without looking we stood at the top of it for prob 30 seconds before i hit it so it was her fault not mine.

haha awesome story. whenever there is a kid on a jump he is usually avoided (the person jumping has to like fall off away screaming to his/her death) here. never heard of a kid getting smashed. thats great.

i got in a car crash,got shot at,and attacked by a fucking bobcat. cross country is boring.

at heart im a free skier but i still love to get out on my GS skis and rip it super fast it the only way you can get 100+ kph on a bad day the3 speed is just so exhilarating. I now a lot of racers and have race my self it is great cross training although you do half to make shore your doing it on a controlled coerce other wise someone will kill them selves when they plough in to someone slow or a snowboarder sitting on the ass.

ok, must of you can grind the rails, get big air and do hot moves in the pipe.I was a racer and coach and I just bought a new pair of P60's world cup edition 180 cm(ltd edition GS skis ) out of the racer box at the distributors and also a pair of AR5 180 cause I like to play in the park too. Like some others have said 75% of racers are very good skiers and would blow away any time so respect to be respected, alot of the pros have gone thru the racing programs and now are some of the best freeskiers in the world. Yes some racers are dumb asses and think we are fuckin nuts but so what.... sking is the best thing in the world no matter what type you do as long as you respect.
