Have you been noticing that more and more snowboarders are making the switch to skiing? Or is it just me? I am seeing alot of snowboarders switching over. I cant be the only one noticing this right?

i definitely have, me and my friends converted 2-3 close friends over to skiing and ive noticed a general change at the mountain too

No change in the midwest. Majority is boarders and board shops that sponsor snowboard only events. It's a hard knock life for us.

Although, skier categories are finally being introduced in competition, but they are pretty thin.

truth. normally end up having the snowboarding judges do both skiing and boarding

more like skiing without poles, ive seen guys ditch their poles mid-run after they see how steezy I am.
