Ok so im rocking the 2011 line afterbangs (ya i know not very good and there heavy as hell) I bought them from a friend just about a month ago and this is my first year of actual free-style skiing. I tried doing some 3's and I sometimes get them but always land backseat. Any suggestions on how to improve so I get them every single time???
Skis dont matter when you are learning a trick like a 3, so thats not your problem (dont try and use them as an excuse). When you take off the jump, make sure your shins are at the front of your boots and you lean forward as if you were going to do a normal straight air. The just commit and look with your head and it should come around easy
Hmm that's a good point. A lot of times when I try a 3 I'm not doing forward pressure like a straight air and I either stop at 180 or 270' and can't really figure out why. The one time I tried it on an air bag I went full speed full forward pressure and fucking nailed the 3. Now I just need to take that confidence to the snow this week.
Just pop harder. If you don't pop off the lip, you'll land at the same angle you took off from (back seat). Work on your pop for a few lines by stomping straight airs and then just bring it to your 360's.
