Im a skiier and iv'e seen (to my extent) an increase in snowboarders (or is it just me?) on NS and have been wondering how many of you guys here is a snowboarder?

Snowboarder here.

Although I was getting my pass pulled for skiing halfpipes 15 years ago so I was a skier at one point.

I snowboard and most of my friends do too, theres one friend i have who's really into skiing who got my friend to switch and got me addicted to this site

im a skier and have been forever, but this year i switched with my friend for a couple days and it was so fun. real tempted to buy a cheap ass bored to fuck around on every once and a while

I've got a really old snowboard in my basement and want to try it someday. I don't get enough skiing as it is though so whenever I think about it I just go skiing

Both is cool and skiier who isn't from and doesn't live somewhere with amazing terrain (Utah, Alps, Tahoe) should be able to do both since snowboarding is way easier than skiing if you can't do it at all it means you have only tried once or twice and should have done it a couple more times till it clicked.

I wouldn't waste a day in Tahoe on a snowboard at one of the legit places (Kwood Squaw Alpine Rose.) But if I was gonna ski a shitty mountain for 5-10 days I'd want to board 2-3 of them.

That said I still don't really like snowboarders and find them annoying. (Especially anywhere legit on powder days scraping steep terrain.)

I snowboard and my rail game is just as good as my rail game on skis which for both is pretty shitty but I'm progressing at the same rate with both. Definately am better on jumps on skis than on a board and way better all over the mountain on skis. Can't even come close to the line I hit on skis on my board.
