Rocker or Camber?

I've really been looking into the Armada halo and the thalls. So far the biggest difference ive seen is the rocker. How big of a difference will it make? Also which ski is easier to butter and do presses on?

It is a noticeable difference. Rocker provides less hook and is generally more flexy and in my opinion a more playful ski. It is easier to do buds and presses on rockered skis.

How much stiffer are the thalls in comparison to the halos?

Pretty equal in flex pattern. The thall is a little more stiff underfoot.

Rocker is a element in a ski that will make it more playful as well as better in all conditions, I really like rocker for surface swaps as there is a lot less catch on rail, there may be less pop but if I had to chose then I would by far chose rocker

I've been skiing k2 domains and k2 iron maidens for a while. They both are rockered skis, and I've enjoyed them both very very much. I find rockered skis more fun than camber skis. As said earlier, they are easier to butter on, easier to do surfaces, presses etc.

I Ski in southern Idaho and Utah. There are a handful of powder days each year at the local hill. Mostly it's whatever jumps I can find at the local hill as well as the pathetic excuse of a park. The park usually just has one 15-20 footer. Also something else I've noticed is that sometimes I butter out on landings. Which I thought was from my bindings being mounted so far back. (I inherited the skis.) But it might also be due to the rocker in the skis that I was using, and I absolutely hate that "wash-out" affect. So maybe the stiffer ski is for me.

rocker is gonna be less stable in hardpack conditions and at high speeds than camber. That could definitely contribute to why you're slipping out. Rocker will help on a day with any fresh snow though. I like rocker better for rails because it makes switch ups easier. A cambered ski is going to be better for jumps because of its pop and stability. I would pick according to what your style of skiing is

I've ridden both thalls and halos, I'd say that the T-Halls are more buttery. The Halo's have rocker which helps with initiating butters but actually feel stiffer when in the butter and try and pop you out of it more than the T-Hall. I hope that makes some sense, it's quite a hard feeling to describe.
In general I do prefer rockered skis but the Halos don't feel like a traditional rocker ski, they have a lot of camber and then a sharp transition to rocker, but there isn't really that much rocker. They don't feel loose like most rockered skis do.
