did this last year. You really just have to tug super hard, one of mine came off really easily the other i put in a vice and it took so long but eventually got it off
Put the grip in a big pot of boiling water for a few seconds, then pull them off with a towl or something(so you dont burn your hands, and for grip). I have done it many times, they slide right off. Then to put them back on hammer them in with a mallet.
If you use a heat gun, like a propain one with a flame. Dont heat the grip its self. heat the metal about 1 inch down from the grip, the heat will travel up the pole.
Somewhat relevant; my sir pollards paint brush poles started falling apart after only 2 weeks use. I got them from backcountry so no big deal, but it's something to consider before deciding to buy.
Soak the grips in a pot of boiling water for a minute or two, then slide the grips off with a towel. That's how I take all my pole grips off. Just an idea.
