Pipe Tricktips

I haven't found many, I've gotten totally hooked on pipe skiing this week! First i learned flat 3's, and today i got both way flairs. Anybody on here skies pipe?
What to attempt next, and is there any trick tip videos out except TJ and Tanners cork 9's, cause I'm not quite there yet!

I can do a trick tip on flairs for starter:

(left wall) You don't need a ton of speed, just enough so you'll clear the edge with your whole body.

- Go pretty mush straight up the wall
- When getting to the edge, just tilt your head and left shoulder down, and watch down towards the end of the pipe.
- your pop should be like an underflip on jumps
- You will be able to see your landing the whole time, so just stay tucked and bring it around!

I fell in love with this trick today, they are quite easy, and super fun!

I throw it left in the right wall, spotting the landing over your shoulder on this trick is quite great. the hardest part I think is to don't land to far down the wall! Also i can't do any switch hits, so it kinda sucks to do flat 3s mid run at the moment!

No, I feel like i don't get enough height when i just do straight 180s, i dunno, why, but if i set for a flip i can go well above a meter, but when just straight hitting the wall i barley get air time at all!

heres a tip for you learn to get higher out of the pipe, it will let you spin and do bigger tricks aswell as make your tricks look better, look at 9s in womens pipe compared to mens

So this is what I've got so far, the ally op flat 5 was my first try ever, I just figured I'd go for it, cause i got so mush speed from the flair! In my head what i did was just basically to pop a rodeo as i would on a jump!

First today I did my first superpipe runs in the WC pipe in Oslo Vinterpark!
It's sick, I cant get over how incredible fun it was! SUPER STOKED!

When you sack up, hit it and commit it! And get comfy with the transitions and the high speed, it is better than riding the regular small pipe!
First of all, you'll gain higher airs, and second the walls are so big, you actually get time to set up and prepare for your trick/ air!

I landed most of my pipe flips today, both way flairs and the allyoop flat 5 (I'll do a tricktip on it when i get it on tape later this week)!
I also got higher on the straight airs, witch I've been struggling with in the small pipe! As I.BUltimate Bling! told me i just did it, what I can say is that you extend through the transition, then pop at the top.
But its more like raising your upper body into the air than popping, haha.

Now, I really hope someone with some experience can tell me how to do a regular spin, cause I don't get it! I mean someone on this site must enjoy a pipe ride every now and then!
and i guess most people do regular 5's as one of their first tricks

Hey, I'd like to get some new tricks in pipe as well, I haven't had many chances to ski it this winter, but I'll have access to a nice pipe at Loon next Friday.

So I'm wondering if anyone can try to explain flat 3s/5s?

I learned straight 5s with safety last spring and can explain them if anyone wants.

Straight 5s:

Basically go in with a little more speed than you think you'll need and you want to angle yourself correctly. I'd say angle more don the pipe than straight up and pop out more than you should on a straight air.

Then If you can do little 3s in pipe already, just set much harder ad wrap it around. It feels more like doing a 7 off a jump in terms of how spotting it goes.

^Cool dude! I tried, worked well, did'em with mute, worked better for me!

I got a new one today! Handplants!

How to do:

- Have speed like you would do a small air
- carve about straight up the wall (ally oop)
- your pop should be like you're about to do a backflip (still ally oop)
- If in the skiers left wall, set you pop and bring your left arm down for the plant
- you will spot the pipe easy while upside down, and if you get your arm in, the rest will pretty much go by it self.

- If you pop hard, it's easy to land switch, like an backflip handplant, if you set the pop weak, you'll be able to bring yourself back to forward with your arm.

So back in the pipe again this season!
Pretty stoked, even tried to make a edit all by myself, haha..

Anyway! any of you stomping stuff switch in the pipe?
Cause I just can't get down on it.. I mean small airs are okay, but once I get some air, and want to do a 3 or 7 I just can't land, eighter i get thrown forward into the wall, or I manage to stay on my feet until I reach the end of the transition, then fall backwards!

Or any other NS'ers enjoying pipe and want to share some tips or anything, please post! Peace!

Switch hits really aren't bad in the pipe. You just have to stay on top of everything. Try to make sure you land high in the tranny so you can pump it. Otherwise you will hit the transition and get bucked hard and lose all speed. Try doing a ton of air to fakies next time you're out. Like full runs of them both ways.

This, and to hidden.. should be an own forum next to NSG or something.
(and maybe sticking the regular cork 7, rodeo 360 and 540 threads on top of that)
Anyway, I see nothing wrong with the thread, its for tricktips in pipe in general.. Would be worse if one made 1 thread for each trick!
