LJ,

Can I just say that you have been my favourite skier for so long. I really am glad you made it and respect that video you put out. I was wondering if you would be able to post x-ray photos of your knee? I know a lot of people would be interested in how gnarly it looked.

thanks for the kind words, unfortunately I don't think I still have any pre-surgery x-rays. I was pretty out of it but I'm pretty sure I gave the Finnish xrays to the doctors at the ER here in utah before going into surgery and never got them back. might be able to dig up some post surgery photos but they aren't nearly as impressive because my badass surgeon DID WORK

You can see an x-ray at the beginning of sunny (During the crash segment). It basically just looks like a third of his knee cap is gone and the part left is split in two with a big gap in between.

damn! good call! thanks! yeah if you've got a copy of sunny you can see the top piece is up with my lower quad and even the bottom piece is super high and fractured into smaller pieces. if you look to where the femur meets the tib/fib you can see that even the lower piece is above where the knee cap should be which created the floppy concave loose skin look that cheddar and I repeatedly fingered and making it appear as if my knee cap was completely gone or deflated

Does your knee look normal after the year, I got the same surgery 7 weeks ago but i split my knee clean in two, the hardware looks gnarly through x rays

mad props to LJ for coming back from this so quickly. I shattered mine on the tramps at windell's almost 2 years and I'm still not skiing anywhere near where I used to be. The confidence is slowly coming back but i still have a patella that's shaped more like an oatmeal cookie than an knee cap. Keep killing it man, I'm sure I'll see you on hood this summer
