I was looking for a wide angle lens and I heard some pretty good stuff about the Tokina 11-16... I know there are many great filmers on NS so I just wanted to know which one should I look at the most. (less than 1000$)
definitely the tokina if you can afford it. There are people who are rehousing these lenses and adapting them (permanently) to PL mount. They pay over $3000 for this. It is seriously one of the best wide angles you can get. I think some people also use it on full frame zoomed in to 16mm, because it is that good. I am not speaking from experience, but nearly anyone on this site can tell you that it is simply an awesome lens
yeah I hear about that lens all the time. I have the 17-40 F4L right now and its fairly wide (especially on a full frame), being able to zoom into 40mm is a ton of flexibility too.
