College Dilemma!

Alright NS, I have a dilemma.
I can’t decide which college I want to attend next year, and I was hoping I could get some help. I have it narrowed down to two schools: Virginia Commonwealth (VCU) and Appalachian State (App). Here are some Pro’s and Con’s for each:

VCU: Better School of Business, BMX hub, lots of job opportunities, larger campus, better nightlife, no skiing, waaaaay cheaper

App: Skiing literally 15 min away, lots of bouldering nearby, some BMX but not much, smaller campus, closer to home, way more expensive

So what do you guys think? Yes I know this is a skiing website, but hopefully you guys will see both side of my dilemma.

TLDR Can’t decide which school, one is right by skiing, the other is in Richmond and has BMX and jobs

It doesn't matter because it's just business, and whatever you're going to do, you're going to be fucked because you're not going to a reputable school? Sorry to break it that way, but it really doesn't matter unless your dad/mom knows people.

I have no knowledge of either university, but Judging by the pros and cons you have listed it seems that VCU greatly outweighs Appalachia without question. Youd be silly to go to App. over VCU just because it has skiing.

Sounds like VCU to me. It seems to make way more sense financially speaking and it sounds like it'd still be mad fun. I wouldn't let the prospect of being able to ski in NC make my decision for me.

And you shouldn't even bother considering the quality of a business or law school at the community level since it's utterly futile without real world experience to boost your resume? Hence, OP should go with the better looking and easier school.

Okay, thanks.
I think you misread the OP. By more job opportunities, I was referring to getting a job while in school. I've been working in a coffee shop for 4 years now, and there are easily four times the number of coffee shops in Richmond than in Boone.

Ah. Well then it comes down to whether you prefer BMX or skiing more. Skiing opportunities are more rare, imo, and I'd go for those over BMX, which is relatively easy to find (if not the best in the world).

The ranking of schools don't matter if neither of them are top 10-20 range for business. Just sayin. Ask yourself if you'd rather work around the VA area or the CO area because you'll have more internship/networking opportunities closer to wherever you choose to go to school. I'd pick the cheaper option if there is a substantial price difference.
