Attempted Murder stunt...

So this marketing company decided to stage an attempted murder in an elevator, flim it, and somehow make it seem like a viral stunt for the new movie Dead Man Down... Heres the video:



I can't believe so many people just walk away.. hoesntly if you saw a guy strangling someone in an elevator with no weapons other than a cord you wouldn't help? WTF is wrong with people.. The last guy in the video pissed me off.

wouldn't it be even more funny if someone with a conceal carry permit pulled out his gun and shot the guy in the head cause he thought it was real..

Ever seen that show "what would you do" or something like that.

A lot of people just don't give two fucks. If it's not them whatever. As long as they're life is fine they don't care.


The only time most people care about strangers is when they sit home with a bowl of popcorn hoping to hear some intense news about people dying, houses burning down, airplanes crashing, children drowning and other stuff. People love that shit.

Agreed. Personally I think I would jump in and help, I've always wanted to be the hero for whatever reason, I just feel like to have that much of an effect on someones life would be awesome. They would remember you forever and probably tell their children about you one day. Maybe that's a selfish reason for wanting that but whatever. I still think I would jump in and help.

Ah but what if the guy strangling the other guy is fighting back from the other guy trying to murder him? Then you would be nothing but the hero, in fact, you'd be helping the murderer.
It's easy to say "oh, I'd be a hero!", but you can't be a hero unless you know what you're doing.

completely fake

1. I have never seen a fire extinguisher spray mist like that, its usually a powder that gets all over the place

2. some people in the vid called the cops. you would think after the first time the police arrived, they would have shut the whole prank down

3. no marketing company would risk getting sued for a viral video on youtube.

4. noone accually attempted to fuck the "murderer up". the most he got was hit with empty bags and flowers

interesting thought. I don't think I would help to the point of beating the crap out of the attacker. I would probably just try to split them up, if it ended up with me helping the guy who started it and not getting his ass kicked by the dude he attacked, so be it. But I like to think I'd rather help out and stop it regardless rather than just let it happen and someone possibly die, even the initiator.

I wear steel toe boots daily, they're just what I like to wear. I know the first thing I would do is kick that fucker in the face.


Of course I'd be really embarrassed and have to pay that guy's medical bills for reconstruction surgery after I figure out it's fake, but that'd honestly be my first reaction.

I'd like to think that it'd be, at least.

1. How many fire extinguishers have you seen go off?
2. You can call the police and inform them what's happening so if someone calls in they won't send out a car
3. Explain who would sue who and what for? And yes there most definitely is a marketing company that probably would.

in regards to #4 you can clearly see one of the dudes start to body him up, and at that point is when you let them know it's a prank and they're on camera before you actually do get fucked up

1. A lot. I work in the warehouse of a pretty large construction company and everyone in a while we get some fire extinguishers back from job sites that no longer will pass inspection. so we empty them and scrap the metal. no fire extinguisher that i have ever seen looks like a fog machine when it is going off.

2. I doubt the police would agree to something like that because what happens in the instance that someone really does pull out a gun or some something of that nature and the police are really needed? Though i can't say for a fact that the police wouldn't agree to this, it just seems kind of ridiculous.

3. What happens if someone jumps in to try and help and ends up getting injured. or what if the panic you cause people gives them a heart attack. or shit, people could just sue for made up traumatic stress that the situation caused. you can't just pull shit like this without people signing liability wavers/consent forms. some nobodies doing this for fun sure, but not a marketing company working with a major Hollywood movie.

4. let me rephrase that one. everyone in the video that attempts a physical intervention does it by some ridiculous theatrics

My points at at the very least decent, so i should feel ok

If this is real i'm pretty sure the guy would take a picture to help catch the guy if he got away. I think most people's reaction would be to help him right away but I wouldn't blame someone for taking a picture. you probably would be quite shocked.

Someone actually just linked a "WWYD" clip on Facebook yesterday... Muslim guy changing a tire and nobody tries to help except for this Dominic guy, not anything exceptionally cool but it shows that there are some genuinely kin people out there still.
