So everytime i watch a video on here, which is at least 10-20 a day throughout the day the TNF ad pops up of wallisch. Nothing against TNF but that add being 30seconds is really pissinmg me off. Some of the crash videos and shorter edits are around 30seconds so basically the add is taking up the same time as them. I am not complaining but i just feel that ad is way to long. Obviously NS has to make some good money off the ads but lets be honest that ad is long compared to most other ads. I dont mind a 10 or 12 second ad, thats easy but its 30 seconds of the smae stupid old tom wallisch suit and the music is very lod in it. How much longer is this going to last becuase i am pretty annoyed by it. No hate here
I hate that ad. nothing against Tom or Northface, but the sound is obnoxious, it sounds over peaked. plus the video lags and takes longer than 30 seconds for me. I have ad block but it still makes me watch it.
then get ad bllock for safari like me. Cause i'm like you, prefer safari over chrome. Buf i've disabled it on NS to be a good fucker to the guys who made it. But i'm starting to regret it due to TNF ads.
Everyone thought it was so dope that tom did a triple and that it was the ad for videos...but just like every other video we are all sick of it and that song is now cursed in our brains lol.
You don't steal money from them... It's as if you didn't even log on to view the ad at all, I see where there are negatives but by all means you are not taking money from them.
You view the video, we serve that view but the ad doesn't serve. As such, we don't charge for the ad and we don't pay that producer.
You're watching the video for free, and removing the revenue stream that we're giving the producer.
I mean listen you can do whatever you want I don't disagree with that. The problem is when people ask why media companies don't make more money and the issue is right here. You don't buy movies anymore, you want free video content. Ads are how people can make money. We serve ads and pay people based on those ads. If you don't watch ads, don't give anyone money and want everything for free - well eventually the content isn't going to be there.
There has to be a breaking point somewhere. Do you support a subscription model for NS?
