dalbello definitely makes a burlier boot, but full tilts parts are so easily interchangeable that if you do break something 9 times out of 10 your local shop that carries full tilt will have extra parts. It is hard to find dalbello parts besides ripping apart an old boot. Personally I like full tilts better as the external tongue design is not inhibited by metal like the dalbello buckles, and is a far more natural flex using the cable-only system. Not to mention there is less material into the build of a full tilt so it's far lighter.
Im super picky about comfort with shoes/boots/whatever. Full Tilt Booters are the only boots Ive personally had that are extremely comfortable but everyones feet and preferences are different. Go try on both that youre looking at and decide from there. Either way Im sure youll end up with a pretty good boot with either brand
True. You should probably just buy the most uncomfortable boot you can find. The goal is for your feet to be extremely uncomfortable. If youve skied wearing a shitty boot then ski with a high quality boot, you will know what I mean about them being "extremely comfortable." There is a definite difference. Like I said either of these brands will most likely provide you with a great boot
What I mean is that ski boots pack out a considerable amount compared to when you try them on at the shop. So if a boot feels really comfortable in the shop, thats not good, b/c they will pack out on the hill and become a sloppy, poor-fitting boot. When you try on a boot at the shop, it should be pretty darn tight all around your foot, not "comfortable" like a skate shoe or something.
I have owned both and prefer the dalbellos due to durability of the buckles. also the BSL on my size in the dalbellos is just a hair bigger then the FTs, so they fit my foot better without requiring more then a punched out big toe.
Just go with what fits your foot best. I tried on Dalbello's and Full Tilts and the Dalbello's fit better. Had them heat molded and I love them. Btw I have the krypton rampage boots.
