Headed to Utah next week to ride Snowbird and Brighton for a few days. Will be in Brighton next Wed and Snowbird the next few days. All the mainstream weather outlets look to be showing less then appealing temperature forecasts with zero snow, although I have read some other accounts of some possible storms hitting throughout the week as well. Obviously I know things can change quickly out there and that's what I'm hoping for. Was just wondering what you guys use for your weather outlook in the Utah area and if you guys have any inkling to some snow that isn't expected right now.
Yeah, I saw that. I'm not riding until next Wednesday. All the future forecasts I'm seeing for next week show mid 40's for late next week. Hopefully that changes?
even if ir doesn't i wouldn't worry about it. i skied powmow and snowbasin without there being a storm for a week before i came and i still found freshies every day. you're going to find some good snow, don't stress over it man
just got back from Pow Mow and the conditions were pretty good. They just got a few more inches i think so as long as it dosent get to warm you should be fine.
But after this small storm tonight and a bit more Friday (if we squeeze out 6" we will do good), nothing big in the forecast. Temps are seasonal. Snow to date is below average but not horrible. Big and Little Cottonwoods are doing alright.
You do realize that the forecast doesn't go out any further because the predictions from that point are basically shit? Even the European models can't predict out that far with much confidence, especially for zone forecasts like that. Far too many variables involved.
