Got accepted and am 95% sure I'm going there. I'm doing the overnight program for April 1/2 but I wanna head up on a weekend too so I can see what the weekend scene is like there. Anyone trying to go there this fall or currently enrolled?
No I'm basing my education on the fact that I'm currently accepted to a 3/4 program through Geneseo that would guarantee me acceptance into the SUNY Optometry school after 3 years provided I keep a 3.3 and score high enough on my OATs. 7 years of school at SUNY cost for a doctorate sounds like a pretty sound plan to me. Sorry for having some interest in how I'll be spending my weekends for 3 years of my life though.
And to op it's not bad. The scene was kind of meh from the times I spent there. Not as fun as other schools but college is college and there are still good times to be had. Saw ben folds and third eye in the kuhl gym in 06 and 07.
That's what I expected. A raging party scene would obviously be sick but its far from a top concern of mine. As long as people are social and willing to have fun I'll be satisfied.
As a school it's supposed to be pretty decent. My sister and some friends went there. I never actually took any classes there so idk but as far as a town/party scene it's still a college town. It's just sort of small scale not super raging.
Thanks for the feedback. Academically I've heard a lot of good things about it and it seemed like a pretty awesome community when I visited last spring. As long as my overnight doesn't go horribly I'm going there.
Like I said I don't need a raging party scene. Going out friday and saturday and maybe a weekday every once in a while is fine by me. Are any of the kids that you know there in greek life because i've read that your options are limited if you're not in a sport or greek life
