OK, so im a fat ski kinda person in any conditions, and ive been seriously considering getting symmetrical fat skis center mounted, most likely the Surface new life's. how dose a symmetrical center mounted fat ski perform? if you have ridden the New life's, where did you mount em, how do they ride in different conditions other than powder?

mine are mounted -3 from center and are really only good in the pow. On groomers it's hard to hold and edge and they chatter quite a bit. I will probably sell them in the next few months to look for something more versatile, as hood doesnt always get consistent deep pow.

By groomers i mean getting to or from a zone from the lift. And i cant really say, they are the only pair of pow skis i have ever rode. I would say they are pretty maneuverable, but i would recommend going -2 or -1 if you are going to be skiing or landing switch a lot (I only do it occasionally so -3 is fine)

I don't have the same skis, but i do have symmetrical Ghost Chants. Mine are mounted center and i love them! I use them on slush groomers and in pow. They are so playful
