Replying to Line Opus vs Moment Night Train
Heres the deal, I am looking in to getting some new pow skis and I have narrowed it down to these two. I am 5'7 and 130 pounds, ski the PNW and I like everything from steep big mountain lines and big cliffs to buttering and jibbing pillows in deep pow.
So which ski is going to be better overall for someone like me, keeping in mind Im going to be throwing tricks and landing switch on these. I have already tried out a pair of opus' and loved them and I am trying to get my hands on some Night trains to take those for a spin as well.
My main concerns with the night train is how well they perform on hardpack, how well they do in crud and heavy slop, and how playful/turny they are in deeper pow and trees.
Main concerns with opus is if it is really enough float for those deep days we get up here, which I am assuming for someone my size wont be too big of an issue now but I plan to keep these for a while. Also with the NT's, do the topsheets chip easy? And how is moments durability overall?
Thanks guys, hope the answers find their way in here.
