my home mountain closes the 16th but there are mountains within 1 hour that usually stay open into april so I'm good. all though the bindings on my new skis just ripped out so i might not be good. =(
Mine closes the 16th as well. It sucks, when you have a season where you really progress a lot and you dobt want it to end. I'm just starting to hit my groove and feel real comfortable and now the season is over.
How late do the mountains in Pittsburgh stay open? Around Philly the season is just about over. Conditions were pretty shitty today -- not enough speed to hit half the jumps on the mountain.
jump size needs to be toned down since hitting each jump in a line was difficult but conditions were phenomenal so i see no reason for them to close. it depends on when they run out of snow
Oh, I feel you guys. Here in Finland we still have lots of snow. And when the time comes to my local hill to close, there usually is still some rails and boxes to hit even if there was just a tiny bit of snow.
Last year when conditions were absolutely terrible, most of the hills stayed open into April still. It's a lot better this year, so I'll be skiing for a little while yet, but it's coming to a end :( Seems waaaay too short.
dont feel guilty complaining for your mountain closing early
think of this as an opportunity to shred as hard as you can for the next to weeks if you can...
