Replying to The newbiest question...

Hello there, I'm an absolute n00b about everything camera-related. I do have one question though and I hope it has an answer.

So I see a bunch of edits all the time that consist of the smooooooooothest slowmo shots, then I see that some of them are filmed with a T2i or something like it that only goes up to 60fps. What I'm seeing would need at least 120 to produce. So my question is, is there a way to boost fps in post or something? I have FCPX that my school computer came with so I don't know how to use it yet.
