for rail jams? Jeff Kiesel can't remember the last time he lost and since he won War of the Rails and Rails to Riches (multiple times), both different kinds of rail jams, the theory of him being the best holds some weight.

Hell we all know the fellow soul-less creature of the night sucks balls at slope so I think it's fair we can let him have this title.

Never really thought about him not competing in slopestyles, is that a common thing? Talkington doesn't either, when he could easily obliterate some of the courses. What's the deal there? Pressure type thing?

I'm just asking because I competed in my first slopestyle today and all my friends thought i was gonna get a podium spot but i just cracked under the pressure and ruined myself every run. Im curious about this now

That's definitely an interesting question. LJ slays it in the air as well as on rails and confidence/pressure does not seem to be an issue for him, I wonder why he doesn't compete in slopestyle?

It is a lot different to be able to kill it on rails, and then being able to kill it on 8-9 features in a row perfectly to do well in slopestyle.

Rail jams seem a lot more layed back than slopestyle events. Probably doesn't want to deal with that and constantly traveling for to each event for points, really cuts into filming unless you have sponsors flying you to each event.

He does do slopestyle events. He didnt go to aspen open due to not having a car and hes not in dew tour because he hasnt qualified, its hard to get into dew without some sort of big result (which LJ has not achieved yet). Hes done dew qualies a few times but has yet to really get his hat in the ring, which sucks cause the kid can do all 4 dubs ha. He doing grand prix's trying to gain points so that next year he can try to qualify for the olympics. He's got what it takes for slope he just needs to stomp a run when it counts.

Right on. In general the most important thing to me is that he keeps focusing on putting out banger segments like he always does but it would certainly be cool to see him in some comps.

I want to say they are saving themselves for a long film season. I'd much rather be focused on putting together a jaw-dropping segment rather than th comp results.

I can't tell if you're serious or not, but I'm sure on the bigger slopestyle jumps he'd be fine. Walker did pretty well with right and left switch 9s, a right 9, and a dub 12. Dale has a couple doubles, and mad rail skills. I don't think that he could win any major comps without a rightside dub, but with the tricks he has on rails he could probably do decently well.

But I'd much rather see a film segment from him anyway!
