I live in vermont near the best trail system in the east, Kingdom Trails, and am shopping around for a new bike. Lookin at the Trek liquid 55 or Giant AC-1.

^^there is nothing wrong with a hard tail...id say go with a Gaint. i have the xtc(for xc), and the vt(for freerideing)....i had never raced xc on a hard tail until this year i loved it! well i also used to ride trek and i do like the fuel 100

i had bought a fuel 90 frame last year and have fell in love with it. I am not sure how the complete bike is stock as I only bought the frame, but i would imagine it damn good for the price.

if you want a good Downhill bike buy my bike, i have an '04 Santa Cruz v-10 with Manitou Dorado's, best set up you'l ever find, its great for freeriding too!
