Cannabis Cup to be held in US for first time.

Who is going to this? Its 4/20 - 4/21 in Denver! I think this is pretty sick that even Colorado is now more lenient with bud than Amsterdam. 

Anyone bringing their own strain to represent. Hopefully we can get some pics of this it is guaranteed to be epic.

I wonder if Canadian, Netherlands, and other countries will travel here for the event and represent their strains? Seems pretty difficult since it'd be hard to get it through the airports.  Maybe Canadian bud cause they could drive it, but idk about other countries?

Id like to go but im a little short on money and I think its going to be a fuckin zoo its first year everybody will be trying to get in.  Ive been to 4/20 at CU and it really really opened my eyes to just how many dumb motherfuckers smoke weed.  like juggalos and just really shitty looking people everywhere.  not my scene.

That's what I was thinking. How in the fuck are they going to get strains across the border. Yeah, I know smuggling is possible, but it seems like a lot of risk for something like this. I know I sure as hell wouldn't risk smuggling buds in for a little cannabis cup action.

I was wonderin about this too.  maybe theyll be able to get a pass or something to let them thru customs but it doesnt seem likely.  They could send someone over early to grow it in CO for the event? also not likely.  Itll probably be just CO growers.

I doubt they'll get a pass since its still federally illegal.  But I feel you on the trashy people who smoke it, but I guess when it comes to legalization, if they're a tax paying, law abiding citizen then who really gives a fuck what people look like, but I totally agree I feel like I'd feel out of place.

Now this on the other hand I think will be alot more legit than 4/20 at CU, with legit growers, and weed aficionados trying to earn there bud the label as the "BEST".  But if I wasn't strapped on cash I'd for sure be interested in going for the first ever US Cannabis Cup.

I've heard amazing things about BC bud, but I no longer think it has that big of an advantage over CA or CO bud, especially with the social acceptance of it growing, which gets more people in the game and more people trying to make a stronger higher THC containing bud.

Nah, the medical marijuana boom in the us has created the oppertune growing environments for cannabis. There are hydro labs putting out buds that have 30% thc content which is absurd and northern california has been booming with cannabis along with a few other medical/legal states like WA and CO.

I call 420 kegger at Elgato's!

DUDE SO MUCH THIS hahahaha my first year at cu it was 420 2011 and there were so many pieces of shit there. People think it;s the campus kids that are there comprising the majority of the people there but it's really just huge pieces of shit and juggalos.

Well if they fly into a state that has supporting legislation, they should be fine.  It's now a legit business.  As long as it's accounted for and transported properly, it should be ok...  Unless the govt wants to make a point and be fucking douchebags, which they probably will. 

You guys hear about the bust at one of the last cannabis cups?  Technically dabs are considered a sched 1 drug over there and aren't technically allowed but it had never been enforced- well they decided that they were going to bust them for it.  Literally blocked off the exits and said you'll be searched outside the building, anything you're caught with you'll be charged with...  So everyone in the building lit up everything they had and smoked it all.  Every last drop ahahahaha...  Biggest smokedown in the history of the Cup.  Shit's crazy.

This is what I was thinking as well, but they are smart. 

If they know this far in advance, I'm positive they would have satellite grow ops growing their product in-country in anticipation of the event.  They won't leave it to chance and the Fed govt is a pile of dicks.

That makes sense, I was just saying though-  You or I could both be judges if we wanted to spend the dough.  Seems like most people aren't aware of that and it is pretty freakin awesome.

Did you guys see the new regulations in place, called "party pot" aka tourism pot.  People who are 21 from other states can go to colorado and buy up to 3.5 (1/8th) grams at a time completely legal, of course once the recreational thing goes into effect.

They had medical cups in Denver, LA, and Seattle. The big one has been in Amsterdam since people can smoke there. This year its no longer the medical cup in denver its a full blown cannabis cup because of the legalization. Amsterdam will have theirs in November and LA, is having a medical cup since CA still has yet to legalize. Marijuana will be booming in the next few years and the prices are dropping where I am so I can afford fat sacks of the ganj legalization has been good.
