If I was going to buy a knife

What would the knife wielders of NS recommend? H&K? They have some sort of cheap ones. 3" or under would be cool.

it's also not really that big of a knife. It's pretty burley but the blade is not that long. Maybe and inch or so longer than the other knife I posted. You can use it as a small hammer, a screwdriver, cut stuff, skin animals, kill animals, etc. There isn't much you can do with a smaller blade other than conceal it.

I guess it all depends on what you use an "everyday" knife for. Like he has no reason to need a knife at the grocery store, but he needed one in the bush. It's kind of like comparing a 9mm to a 12 gauge shotgun. You wouldn't want the handgun in the bush and you wouldn't want the shotgun in the grocery store (although I don't get why you would want the 9mm in the grocery store either).

I have a buck 110 that my grandpa gave me for my eagle scout. He bought it back in the 89's and is the best knife ive owned. Very solid folding mechanism and a sharp blade with a nice brass/rosewood handle.

I have a Gerber Statesman and absolutely love it. It has FAST opening and the blade is really solid with no play when opened. I highly recommend it but it does cost a little more.
