i dont really know why you guys get so sentimental over these comics. ive never read one that was genuinely stimulating or substantial.

Calvin and Hobbes were the first "books" I learned to read as a kid. I loved the pictures and had to know what the words meant. Such an excellent comic strip.

Calvin and Hobbes was an integral part of my childhood, fucking loved those books.
Had to go and dig out my collection because of this thread, I've got 6 different books. Probably going to read them again now haha.

so thats it? theyre just supposed to be little feel good strips? ex: that kid leaving his stuffed animal on the sidewalk in the above post.
I always assumed they were supposed to have interesting messages given the figures theyre named after.


after further investigation ive found some that actually have some cool ideas / points on society. but still, im not sure about you guys talking about 'the feels' and wanting to cry.

It's just that I remember reading those whenever I found the time in elementary. Hell, I even got one of my books taken away for reading very indiscreetly one day. I never wanted to kill someone more in my entire life than that. It just takes me back I guess. I do remember the last book. Broke my damn heart.

That is how I view winter. A magical day where school is out, where you live in a completely different world to explore. There is nothing more pure, more wonderful than snow. I cant understand why people hate the season so much
