Hestra Guide Glove?

Have never owned Hestras that have liners. I think it would be great, I have issues with stench in my non liner gloves. I have the Seth Three Finger and the Henrik Winstedt Mitt. They are awesome gloves, blew any expectations I had away. Never had any problems with warmth, the only moisture I ever had was from my hand sweating. If I had liners I could have controlled that.

The Seth's have 3 seasons under them and the Henrik's 2. They are both still in fairly great shape but they smell terrible. Seriously terrible. I don't wear them because it is wicked embarrassing.

I tried washing them and followed the washing instruction's on Hestra's website, but no cigar. Anyone have experience with these or recommend another Hestra liner glove that will fulfill expectations of the Seth?

And they look trill as fuck

Threads and bump. What's the coldest day you've had in your Windstedt's. not sure if I can justify buying a pair of Hestra's.

Sorry I have the Henrik Classic Mitt to clarify, the smaller one.

I did an overnight park rebuild once where it dropped to under 10º F. I would do most of the work in some insulated work gloves from the hardware store. But once I needed to warm up I would put on those. They are a stout mitt for convenience sake, so if you want something stupidly warm then go with the other Henrik Pro Mitt (bulkier one).

Cool, thanks for the info man, +K. Been looking for something super warm because my hands have been dying this year and just haven't been totally ready to commit on a pair of Hestra's.

Put a bunch of dryer sheets in each glove for a while, see if that works.

Fuckin love mine.

I had the 3 Finger Seths and they were my only glove at the start of last season. Blew my mind how warm they were. You're right with the sweating. Had a couple problems with the liners coming out and being a bitch to put back in with clamy hands on the mountain. The only fault with the 3 finger.

Got intouch with their warrenty dept. Sent me a form, I filled it out. Circled what was wrong with my gloves with a note saying how much I loved them. Sent prority. 3 weeks later. Boom. Brand new Seths. The 4 fingers, same size, same colour and brand chuffin new! Stoked.

Moral of story. Email them. Tell em you can't rock em for the stench, could be worth a few $'s asking them to clean them and hope for the best.

Put dryer sheets in them after use.  This will kill the odor and leave your hands smelling good for the rest of the day.

THE LADY ATTRIBUTED THE STENCH TO THE C-ZONE FABRIC IN THE GLOVES, AND SAID I SHOULD TRY ANY LINER GLOVE. SHE DIDN'T HONOR ANY SUCH WARRANTY OR GIVE ME ANY REAL HELP, AND I WAS GREATLY DISAPPOINTED

Shame dude. Guess I caught her on a good day. That sort of shit sways me off buying off companies again again. (If it were me)

The only other glove i'd ever recommend is the Oakley Rawhide. Its like $40 on the Oakley Vault.com. Right now. Solid glove. Lighter than my Hestra's and perfect for any day really. Waxed mine em up and they are as good as my seths for sure. Thinking of gettin another pair and selling those new seths on ebay.

Lol...  You wanted to warranty them because they smell???  Come on man, that's crazy.   

Dude.  You need two things. 

1).  Nitrile gloves.  Seriously.  As in rubber gloves.  Put them on first and then slide on your gloves- they will never wet out from the inside and they won't stink if you don't sweat them up- also they stay warmer longer as they are dry inside.  Don't use latex, your hand will never get inside the glove. 

2).  Gold bond medicated foot powder.  It's a deodorizing powder for feet, so it should work for your nastyass hands too.  Sprinkle a little in the gloves, MAKE SURE YOU DRY THEM ALL THE WAY EVERY TIME and then use the nitrile liners from there.  Maybe some Odor Eaters powder or something if that doesn't kill it all the way. 

Should be good, or at least better.  Also youmight want to try putting a little deodorant on your hands before you put them in gloves all day.  You know, rub some on your palms and put it on like lotion?  I'm guessing it would help.  Anyways, good luck dude.
