Lens: New vs. Refurbished

Is it worth saving the extra 100 dollars to buy a refurbished Tamron 10-24, or getting a new one?

Even better, is there any nicer lenses that are worth similar?

Any help would be great!

I think he meant buying the refubished would save him $100, not that he would need to save the extra $100 in order to afford the refurbished (lol)

Buying used or referb definitely can be good deals, where is it refurbed from?

I always try to buy refurb. All three of the camera's and a few of my lenses have been refurb and I have never had a problem. Some refurb's have equal or sometimes even better warranties then the brand new version.
