Drinking out of a Flask

Brethren,


DO any of you guys carry a flask? im looking for a nice flask to keep me warm on the chairlift and to have handy…i was thinking like the 6-9 ounce range.

Do any of ya'll have recommendations for a sleek, stylish flask that isn't insanely expensive? Thanks

I find flasks too small for my liking or too bulky.

Usually toss my booze in a water bottle.

Love some brandy on the slopes but I won't do it at any legit mountain with terrain I'll start cramping and skiing shitty. And at a bad mountain the urge to go in the lodge and get fuckin tanked is there at all times and doesn't need to be encouraged.

Swing top lid, holds damn near half a liter, gondy on the front. Got it off the clymb for like 5 bucks after a 10 dollar credit.

At almost 14 ounces it is definitely bulky, but I've never once thought I had too much alcohol on me. It's prime for boating, skiing it works better in a backpack. Still, she's a thick bitch and I love her.

How is either of those proven by my dislike of flasks? I dont like them because one fuckup leaves you with a dented flask, plus, anything small enough to be convenient holds three shots and anything big enough to get me drunk is awkwardly large.

I'm sure you could get creative and find a way to wash your flask. Mines widemouth so it fits a bottlebrush nicely, and I like it cause the mouth is large enough to actually get a fucking shot out of without holding it to your mouth for 10 minutes.

I have a monogrammed 8oz flask, and it is great. perfect size for pants or blazer pocket, but for skiing you can get pretty much anything, just know that after 3 days it can affect the taste, and you really should be using it as a per occasion tool. Sometimes I like to use the flask, sometimes beers, and sometimes fill up my camelbak with some stuff. Or keep a bag of franzia in the bottom of my camera bag. All of these (and other activities) make for a fun day on the mountain, though I personally don't do much park after getting started with the fun

good advice. i figured a flask would be more convenient than carrying beers in my pockets…but i'll switch it up every now and again.

The flask i got has a certain material that doesnt hold the taste of liquids very well which is good, but im gonna have to clean it well when i switch liquids!

God forbid your flask gets a dent in it ha. Mine has quite a few well earned dents and still seems to hold booze just fine.

Now losing one to the bottom of a river, that was a little hard to stomach.

If I or my friends bring beer, one or more of us will have a pack. flask is the way to go if you have no pack tho. And as far as cleaning it, rinse it well with hot water and let it dry upside down after use. Other than that, you should rinse it a few more times when switching liquids, but most sites recommend not using soap, but this might not hold true if yours is made out of a different material. Either way, it, or the brands website, should have detailed instructions on how to clean it etc.

haha thanks, I got one for my 19th birthday and have been putting it too good use ever since. beyond even the convenience, they just look classy, especially monogrammed. Other more novelty ones are pretty cool too tho, and definitely have a purpose. For example, the freedom flask. not exactly for your blazer pocket, but if you don't want to remember a college football game, it is hard to beat. for ladies there is the wine rack, one of my friends has one and it works pretty well.

Love me some fireball. I feel like it gets the flask all sticky and cleaning it all the time is too much of a pain in the ass. I usually just go with Jameson.
