Style vs. Tricks

I see this a lot, people who have an immense bag of technical tricks, but little style, and others with tons of style and less technical tricks. So what's a better quality, style or tricks? Or, are they both just as important to the ski community?

Sure its cool if you can spin a 720, but a smooth 3 with style looks much better, and the whole point of skiing is to look good

This is the way i see it. If you do a technical trick, at the time its done, alot of people will be like "Damn that was sick!" but a few seasons down the road, everyone will have forgotten about those tricks because whats tech will have been pushed farther. When was the last time you watched and old edit of someone doing tech shit? Probably a while ago.

Style on the other hand, is timeless. You will always appreciate a style trick because even five years down the road, it will still look just as great as when you first watched it. I know i watch old B&E edits, Brogan edits,etc all the time because no matter how old, the tricks remain sick.

Just my two cents.

I feel like one should be able to do good tricks, techy tricks, but when they want do them super styly. Like harlaut, Im sure he could have done the triple normally, but instead he buttered it and added style. Which in itself, styling your best tricks out, is harder to do, and means your all the better skier.
