went through a huge phase of this shit in 12th grade, basically listened to the bands you posted and a handful of others.

you also might like Best Coast. a lot more poppy, and a girl singer, not nearly as rough as wavves but its good in it's own way. still drips with that surf essence too. she can sound a bit whiny at times but whatevs, its still good IMO

not sure if its still the case but i know the girl from Best Coast and the main dude from Wavves were dating - the ultimate indie surf rock couple haha

yeah i dig best coast, they played a free concert but it was opening day at a basin so i missed it

Dude! Not to say you missed out... but you missed out, luckily for you they tour a bunch. They ALWAYS play along the central coast I have seen them like three times in the past year it's always an awesome show. Super involved with the audience and shit next time you get a chance go see them for sure!

i like a few best coast songs enough, but her lyrics are fucking garbage. i don't care if she's trying to accomplish something or make a statement about music or whatever, you can't rhyme crazy and lazy in half the songs.

also, while i only really like one song by surfer blood (miranda, although i have to give the rest of it some more listens through) this is the coolest shirt i own:
