I would say yes... if I weren't a member I would never have though I needed to turn down the din at the end of the season. Just think of all the skiers who don't touch their skis between April and December, yet they ski fine year after year.
You dont have to, but a spring that has a high tension for an extended period of time without actually doing anything can affect it's performance. Think of it like a rubber band. Stretch one for a couple months and come back and see how it feels.
It really isnt. I personally dont touch my bindings or prepare them for off season or anything, and my px-12s are getting ready for their 4th season next season! Sucks it ended so early for me. /:
It's a myth that loosening your din does anything beneficial. The spring is designed to be within the operating range of the binding. Loosening it does nothing appreciable to effect the life or function of the binding.
