So far this year I have gone through 4 or 5 new brakes. They only break off when I land a jump switch. I feel that this is happening because my heel is coming out of the binding prematurely yet I have my din set correctly. I have Rossignol Axial 2 bindings. Is there any advice you guys could give on preventing this?
Sounds like you're landing heavy on the toes of your boots making you pop out of the bindings.
I did this a couple weeks ago and grenaded a brake on my Griffons. I just think due to the way brakes are designed, if you wreck riding/landing switch the probability of destroying brakes is pretty high.
Noooo. Even if they are slightly harder to break, you can't buy replacent brakes without getting the whole heel warranties or tracking down a used pair, and even switching the brake involves completely remounting the heel. That is a horrible solution for this problem
