I have some in my freezer, think I'll cook'em up now. One a side note, has anyone tried to make their own sauce/deep fry or back their own chicken? I've always wanted to try.
Nothing worse than seeing damn good sauce thrown on boneless wings and people wolfing them down in one bite. I love the flavor of hot wings, gnawing the meat off the bone and getting the most out of the sauce.
Grizzly's has some damn good wings, best wings I've ever had I got there. They were the "Melt your face off wings" served "yada yada style" (or blackened, I'm not sure why the waiter just didn't say that). Really the perfect amount of spice, and just TONS of flavor.
They're not on the menu anymore but luckily the Grizzly's around here has been around for a while so most of the chefs still know how to make them. When I was at the Grizzly's in Duluth, the chef didn't know how to make them, so we asked to have him make the hottest wings he could instead. They were absolutely ridiculous. My cousin had tears coming from his eye's and mine would have too if I wouldn't have gotten some milk.
I need a brand/suggestion for a frozen wing or sauce for DIY wingage at home. I cant afford to go out to get wings and not very many places offer wings worthy of my time and money. So, what do you go to for either a pre sauced wing or sauce for self application of plain wings?
I have used kens buffalo wing sauce in the past and it's great, but I cant find it at the store anymore. Franks/Reds or whatever was terrible
local place around here does oven cooked non breaded wings that are so dank. Jamaican Jerk and Mango sauce. Called Manjerk is so fucking good! Had some earlier today!
I'll agree that Boneless wings aren't "true wings". But.... when I go to BW's, I'll always get the boneless ones. Typically 10 spicy garlic and 8 hot. I enjoy them so much better when I don't have to waste time eating around a bone.
Sorry for the dub post, but when we made wings in the firehouse, a staple of the process involved frying up some bacon, and using the bacon grease in the wing sauce.
