I was in a gondola and this old guy started telling us about his weed tent where he grows weed and how he used to sell hard drugs for ski tickets. Then this girls poles fell on him and he told her if she did it again she would have to take her shirt off. True story it was super wierd I got off that gondol so fast I almost dropped my skis

one time when i was in the seventh grade, maybe I was split up from my friends during ski club so i had to ride alone, and two really drunk guys got on with me and were teaching me about alcohol and what beer they liked. I was like, uhhhhh........that's...neat

i know some of you will call me a dick, but i dont like having that exact same conversation 15 times a day:
"great day we're having" "whered you travel here from?" "They got some nice snow last week but its been warm since then"
fuck man im just trying to listen to my music i dont need to have smalltalk with a stranger

seems like this happens to me everywhere but my home hill.
west coast especially.
I don't mind though since it doesn't happen very often. it's just gay when old men spark up conversations solely to drop a bunch of claims that I could not care less about.

One time I was riding up the lift with an older couple, maybe late 50's or early 60's, and we were participating in a little small talk about the conditions whatnot. After a few minutes, they lifted the bar about 30 feet from mid-station and seemed like they were getting ready to get off. I said the standard "have a nice day," and whatnot while we were passing over the unloading ramp. They did not get off, and we sat in silence on the way to the summit. Not extremely awkward, but one of the more awkward moments.

it's not that I don't like talking to people, but fuck me it's always the same old small talk over and over and over again. i just want to jam out to my tunes and not give any fucks about making bullshit small talk.

This. I normally enjoy the small talk to be honest, but more and more often it seems I get someone who skis twice a year complaining about the snow in order to fit in or something. I'm always awkwardly thinking about how the snow isn't bothering me at all and I ski all the time...

This. The only people I hear complaining about the snow conditions are gapers. Everybody else is just glad there is snow in the first place.

Posted this a week or so back:

When I was seven I was in ski class and me and this girl in my ski class got on a 5 seater on either end with an older man in the middle. He turned out to be some random pedo and tried to touch the girl the other side of the chair. She was resiting badly as he was trying to grope her.

Being seven, I had no fear and punched him in the nuts as hard as possible.
Then he of course tried to punch me but I wore a helmet so he mostly hurt himself.

Quickly thereafter  we reached the end, he quickly skied away, but the instructor was in the chair behind me and yelled at the liftie. They both chased the guy, took him down and beat him senselessly.
Then the instructor joined with us again, checked if the girl was fine and we continued with our class.

As I looked back I saw more lifties rushing in and beating the guy.
Never knew what happened to him, maybe they tossed him of the cliffs.

From then on I didn't trust old men in thight onepieces any more.

Was skiing yesterday and got on the lift, when some gaper pulls in at the last second onto the chair I was on. Whatever.

Then once we get to the first tower he slams the bar down, whacking me in the head, and crushing my leg with the footrest, I yell fuck, and look at him, he's just looking the other way, and he's turned up his music.


He just sits there the whole ride, and I get a super bruised knee. Like what the fuck dude. At the top I did fling the bar up from under his feet, but he just skied off like nothing happened.

i was talking to this chick about how i conned my pass to the mountain this year and how dumb the people who work there were and then asked her what she did for work and she was liek o well i work the front desk here at the mountain. hahaahahaha woops akward.

then another time this guy all haggered looking got on with me and friends and he went "hey u guys mind if i smoke a lil reefer" i was liek nah man do it up. he pulled out this shitty already smoked roch and tried to get pulls off of it again. i was liek "dude thats done ill pack u a bowl of some fresh pot" so i did and gave him the first hit. he pulled in and went "wooooooooo yeahhhhhhh daummmmm thats some good shit!" it was liek medicore bud hahahah he was so stoked he gave us all beers to shotgun with him.  that was chill as fuck.

also i was riding the lift with 2 off duity cops talking about how they miss placed their gun's and all this other shady shit. and i smelled liek weed really really badly hahahha. akwarddd
