Can I bend 110mm Marker Jester Pro to fit 87mm waist?
I just got the Volkl Wall 2013 and want the Marker Jester Pro bindings. The only size offered though is 110. Are you able to bend it to like a 90 or so? Don't feel like paying $60 for new brakes and getting them put on. Let me know soon cause I really need bindings quick!
If youre buying them i. Store ask and see if they have other size marker brakes kicking about as theyre all the same for the jester, griffon, squire. If buying online phone the shop and ask. Its not a major issue but a 110 will be much more likely to catch. You could always just buy 90mm brakes and sell the 110s on.
For that much money, you could easily buy some metal bindings like fks or pivots with brakes that actually fit. Why are you so set on jesters? please dont say its because of the color.
Alright well in the end its your choice, but to me it makes more sense to spend less money and get bindings with the right brake size. My skis and bindings combined didnt even cost $400, and they were bought new (/claim, I got some good deals).
Or you could buy the binding at the shop and ask them to put brakes on it that fit. If they have some around they'll do it. And no, it won't cost extra $$
Get the smaller brakes, the 110s will definitely get in your way (they will hang over the sides of your skis way too much) and I guarantee you will hate them, you can change the brakes yourself even, there are just 2 screws and it's super simple. If you bought them at a shop they should change them for you for free, especially because you are sizing down.
