I've been looking at the Surface No Times. They're a great ski from what I've heard, but I am worried that they are too thin. The dimensions are around 110 in the tip and tail and exactly 76 underfoot. Will I be able to land bigger jumps and such with such a little amount of ski underfoot? Thanks.
Ill answer, yes they should hold up fine on those jumps. But if you are used to a ski with a bigger underfoot, there will be miniscule adjustments to be made. You should be able to dial into them in a day or two, but once you start hitting jumps that are 45 ft+, youll need something a bit beefier underfoot.
^not necessarily. look at aerials skis, those are usually 65 underfoot, and those guys are goin a bit bigger than 45 ft. It's all about the skier. If you are tentative on landings, a wider ski will definately help, but for true stomps I'd say go skinnier. Just my opinion though.
