4Frnt Hoji Sizing Question

Blister said they ski really short, get the 195, Rey are reverse camber so they will swivel nicely on the trees. I'd probably be riding the 187s right now (5'10, 140) but 4frt decided to sell out and not make any more.

I am 6'1 and 180lbs and I am planning to pick up a pair of 4FRNT Hoji's for when I move out west next year. I have a quick question as to which size you would recommend: 187, or 195. One important detail to consider as I would be leaning towards the 195 due to the large amount of reverse camber. However, I will be doing 90% of my skiing at Red Mountain, where I skied last year and it is pretty much all tight tree skiing. This is the only factor that made me consider the 187 and now i'm conflicted any help would be much appreciated!

I can hopefully give you a bit of an idea, im 6'3 170 lbs, i have a pair of ehps 193s, in the trees they are alot of work, but in the alpine they are incredible, bust through anything. honestly they are are but too much for me, if you are going to be in trees heaps id say get the smaller ones

Yeah they are really hard to find I hope 4FRNT steps up their production next year for sure I was hoping to get an end of season deal this year but everywhere is pretty much sold out so I may have to wait until next year and get next years model.

Thanks for the advice first time I have heard somebody say the 193's felt like too much also not the same ski so it could be a lot different thanks for the input though, much appreciated.

I found the EHPs and Hojis to ski quite differently. Hojis are far easier to pivot and shut down quickly. I think you'd overpower the 187's when you opened them up. Go 195 for sure.

OP - Do not make a judgement based on someone talking about a different ski. It will not give you a 'bit of an idea'. I haven't skied the EHPs but have heard from a number of people that they are much harder work than the Hojis.

I have skied the Hojis in a 195 and I think you'd be crazy to go with the 187s at your size. I'm 5"6 and fell in love with the 195s, the full rocker makes them so nimble and easy to pivot. If you get the 187 so just end up craving more ski IMO.
