I am looking into buying a new wide angle lens because I'm sick of the distortion from a fish eye, but i like how wide it gets. I am considering the tokina 11-16 but don't know if it worth all the money from it or if i should just buy the tamron 10-24mm?
i have the tokina and it works very well for me. i also like shooting astrophotography on occasions so the f/2.8 is what sold me. my friend has a tamron and ive used it on occasions and it is definitely a good piece of glass, you have a little more reach on it to play with and its still relatively sharp for an UWA.
i love my tokina so i say go with that. but if youre on a budget the tamron isnt a bad choice either.
Yeah get the tokina, but the tamron/sigma 10-2x (22, 24 20 etc)s aren't that bad. Tokina is just better. Also there have been SO many threads on this.
Also the Rokinon 8 and 14mm primes are supposed to be good (look up so e reviews) but they have a bunch of distortion. But much cheaper that tha tamron or tokina. But I really do t get why you couldn't have just googled it... Or at least search barred it...
i love love love my tokina, super super sharp, the F2.8 is awesome, def worth the money IMO, the only thing is that it has small zoom range but it really doesnt take away from the lens at all
