holding a grab as long as possible with a spin that look effortless and not like they hucked it to get it around. nobody ever said skiing backseat with flapping arms was good style, you must be pretty retarded if you think anybody thinks thats good style.
if you go back and watch an old jon olsson part all his tricks are dialed ie. doesnt let his hands leave his sides lands everything clean no hands on the ground. i see so many tricks now where its like ok sure you can spin to 1440 but i have yet to see a good looking spin over 1260.
look at andrew reynolds in skateboarding. he doesnt have all the tricks that other skaters have like koston, but the ones he has are so dialed and he lands everything perfect off big stuff and it still looks clean. everyone has their own style but its finding your own way of perfecting it and making your riding look unique. thats the biggest problem i have with the olympics and now xgames is moving further in that sort of direction. they want to make all park skiers have the exact same looking tricks wearing all the same shit and i think its dumb as fuck. skating is still around today because its unique in that way and i think skiing is losing it a bit when it comes to the individuality aspect of the sport. seems like every fucking kid i see skiing these days looks the exact fucking same on the hill. like they are all trying to be the next tom wallisch or some shit.
both my parents grew up freestyle skiing in the 70's and 80's and why does nobody like to ski moguls anymore. becuse it looks dumb as fuck cause everybody does the same boring tricks over and over off the same looking jumps. it wont be long before were sick of seeing triples. then what are we going to go to quads cause i dont think its possible for that trick to look good, just like i dont even think triples can look good.
