Maybe some K2 Domains, I have lots of friends with pairs of those and they seem to work well in anything.

Is your friend an aggressive skier, or just the average park rat?

I guess i would call him a park rat......he hasn't skied in about 4 years but hes looking to get back into it

i told him the press would be good for him

If he could demo some skis that would probably work pretty well too. Or maybe head up and see what people are riding.

He probably wants somewhat of an all around ripper...volkl wall, nordica ace of spades. You can get last years nordica ace of spades off of galaxy board shop for under 300 right now.
