brakes on longboards would either be extremely complicated/expensive or not work at all.
useful idea though.
I feel like if it had a "snowboard brake" it wouldnt work unless you're going about 5mph. they would have to be closer to bike/car brakes which sounds like an arduous endeavor.

ive seen something on silverfish that reminded me of this. you stepped down on a metal bump, and that pushed through the deck to a pad that rubs on the ground to slow you down. i think it was called a pogo brake or something close to that. either way, i dont think that or this snowboard brake would be smart. people should just learn it right the first time

What are those boards that have the little things you slide your feet into? Those have breaks on them. But part of longboarding/snowboarding/skiing is that you are just relying on yourself to do everything. Its a free feeling, unlike say snowmobiling
